1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device so that it can remember something about you between pages or visits. Similar technologies such as local storage work in the same way and are covered by this policy.
2. Cookies we use
The site currently uses only strictly necessary cookies and local storage — those needed for pages to work, such as remembering a dismissed notice or a form you started. They do not identify you and do not track you across other sites.
- Analytics cookies: none at present. If we introduce them we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
- Advertising cookies: none. We do not use advertising networks.
- Third-party content: pages that embed content from another service (for example a video player or a map) may set that service’s own cookies when the content loads. Those cookies are governed by the third party’s policy.
3. The newsletter and contact forms
Signing up for news and updates or sending us a message stores the details you enter so that we can reply. That is described in our Privacy Policy rather than here.
4. Managing cookies
You can delete cookies already on your device and set your browser to refuse new ones. Every major browser explains how in its help pages. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
5. Changes
We will update this policy when the cookies the site uses change. The effective date at the top shows the current version.
